There must be at least one full paying child ticket per booking. If a baby is the only child attending then a full priced child ticket must be booked.
All children must be accompanied by at least one full paying adult – under no circumstances are children admitted unaccompanied.
About The Event
The Santa Express has arrived in Gingerbread Land at The Olde Watermill Shopping Village, and your festive experience awaits. Magical surprises and enchanting moments unfold at every turn for all the family in our fabulous fifty-minute immersive adventure.
Elfie Selfie and all Santa’s Elves are here to guide you on your journey. So, it’s time to step into Santa’s warm and cosy Bakery where Saffron and Spicer are waiting to help you decorate a tasty gingerbread biscuit decoration. But don’t nibble it yet…
Next stop is the Magical Spice Forest full of herbs and spices grown by Juniper the Spice Elf. Here you can fill your own bag of Rudolf’s favourite sparkling reindeer food, ready for Christmas Eve. Close your eyes and hold Santa’s Wishing Star tight to make a special Christmas wish and summon up some Christmas Spirit.
But that’s not all… Knock Knock and who’s there? It’s Mrs Claus of course, to welcome you into Santa’s sitting room because it’s time to meet Santa himself. Where is he hiding…?
Santa and Mrs Claus have a present for every child and that special family photograph to treasure forever.
It’s still not over yet, back outside in Gingerbread Land Rudolf and Angelica Elf want a photograph too, and Firewood the Train Elf is ready with Santa’s fun-fair train ride.

Frequently Asked Questions
Once booked can I cancel or change my booking?
All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.
What time should we to arrive for our session?
We recommend you allow 30 minutes before your booked time, this allows you to find a parking space and make your way to the grotto! Please allow time for any road works/delays as Grotto performances do start promptly on time.
How many tickets can be booked in a session?
A total of 20 tickets can be booked per session.
Will I see the same Santa as previous visits?
Although we try to use the same Santa, this not always possible and so we cannot guarantee this and reserve the right to change personnel at any time without notice.
Is the grotto wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the grotto is wheelchair friendly and our elves are always happy to help. Unfortunately we don’t offer any concessions.
Can I take my buggy into the grotto?
We do have an outside buggy park as due to health and safety buggies are not allowed in the grotto.
Can I take drinks or food into the grotto?
No, no drinks, hot or cold, or food is allowed in the grotto under any circumstances.
Can I book 2 different time slots but all go in one session together?
No, different timed sessions cannot be merged together under any circumstances ie: if you book a 9.30 and a 9.35 slot you will NOT be able to go in together.
What if there is only one ticket remaining?
If only one ticket is showing then that is all that is available for that date and time you will need to select a date and time that has the correct number of tickets. 1 ticket allows 1 entrant only.
Do you pay for babies?
All entrants to the grotto must have a ticket, including babies. Babies under 1 year are £7.99 but only if they are accompanied by at least one full paying child and one full paying adult .
If there are no other children in your party then you will need to select the full child price of £17.99 for your baby.
Can I bring my dog with me?
No, dogs are not permitted in to the grotto.
What is involved in the train ride?
The train ride is a simple funfair ride.
Why do I need to provide my child's age?
It is necessary for us to be informed of your child(s) age so that we can allocate the correct number of age-appropriate gifts to be given out by Santa.

Terms & Conditions
By opting to purchase tickets to this event you automatically agree to our terms and conditions, and privacy policy. Please note that The Olde Watermill reserves the right to make changes, revisions, and/or amendments to this event. Such changes will be duly reflected on this site. These changes may relate back to the date of purchase of your ticket(s). The issuer has the right to dishonour stolen/counterfeit tickets and declare them as void.
Refunds & Exchanges
If this event is cancelled in its entirety due to any unforeseen circumstances, The Olde Watermill has the sole and absolute right to: reschedule the event, or issue a partial/full refund, or not issue any refunds. If this event has to be rescheduled to other dates, you may not be eligible for any refunds. In case the event is fully cancelled, the refund, if issued, will include ONLY the face value of the ticket(s). The bearer cannot, under any circumstances, claim refunds on any other processing or handling fees, and such other charges.
Please ensure that you accurately book the correct date, time and ticket quantity as all sales are final. All bookings are non-refundable, and non-transferable.
